Predictions

The Boston Celtics may appear vulnerable at times and lack a true superstar. When locked in and engaged on both sides of the ball, they are one of the toughest teams to beat.

Tatum is expected to continue being the offensive leader that he’s been all season and take over this series. Despite the 76ers’ best efforts, they won’t be able to contain Tatum the way they did during the regular season.

This is also Kemba Walker’s Celtics playoff debut. You would be naive to think he’s not going to put on a show and take advantage of the inexperienced Shake Milton and a Sixers squad that has had trouble stopping point guards all season.

Expect Brad Stevens to outsmart Brett Brown at every turn and have a counter for every counter. He’s too smart to allow his best player to be rendered useless against a beleaguered team.

The Sixers have the best player in the series, but the Celtics have the better team and the better coach. They will put up a good fight. In the end, missing their best playmaker and the most versatile defender will be too much for the 76ers to overcome.

If Embiid somehow manages to stay healthy, expect the Sixers to steal one game, two if they are fortunate.

Otherwise, Celtics in five.
