NBA salary cap exercise: What player would every team amnesty?

Milwaukee Bucks – Ersan Ilyasova
Given how good Milwaukee is and how perfectly they fit as a team it was not easy to make a move to move on from someone. This team is built like a puzzle and making their depth work has been a master class in coaching that Mike Budenholzer has put the league through over the last two seasons.
The temptation to pull the trigger on moving on from far too much money from Eric Bledsoe is real without a doubt. Especially looking down the barrel of an extension coming for Giannis Antetokounmpo (hopefully) after next season the money is about to get scarce in Cream City.
So let’s cheat a little bit. Ersan Ilyasova is a Bud favorite and a phenomenal glue guy. His contract is also not guaranteed for next season so they could move on from him anyway. So for this, we are just taking that step.
Ilyasova has dropped down to only 15.9 minutes per game and is making $7 million this season and next season. He still is elite at taking charges and can do a little bit of everything when he does get in the game. But for a team on a runaway train for the luxury tax once they use Bird Rights to max out their MVP this $7 million may be too much.
