Denver Nuggets: Breaking down one of the best young cores in the NBA
By Nick Crain
Gary Harris
Age: 25
2019-20 Stats:
PPG: 10.4
APG: 2.1
SPG: 1.4
Gary Harris’ production has fallen off in the past couple of seasons while battling injuries, but still just 25 years old has a chance to turn things around and be a piece of this young Nuggets core for a long time. When healthy, Harris has proven to be excellent. In the 2017-18 season when he played in 67 games for Denver, he averaged 17.5 points per game on 39.6 percent 3-point shooting. Don’t count Gary Harris out on being one of the better shooting guards in the NBA down the road.
Jamal Murray
Age: 23
2019-20 Stats:
PPG:18.8
APG: 4.8
SPG: 1.2
It’s almost hard to believe Jamal Murray is only 23 years old. He’s in his fourth season and has already earned a five year/$170 million extension with the Nuggets. A lethal shooter from all over the court, Murray is still nowhere near his ceiling. He is the second-leading scorer on the roster and is a huge part of why Denver plays so well together.
