Depth for days

Not every team boasts an 18.7 points per game scorer off the bench, but the LA Clippers have just that in Lou Williams. Even with their thin roster, it’s likely that Williams will continue to come off the bench, but that’s practically a formality.

He’s likely to play in the high 20s or low 30s in minutes and be a reliable source of offense, especially when Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are off the floor. Missing two guards in Landry Shamets and Patrick Beverley will likely elevate guys like Reggie Jackson and Rodney McGruder in both minutes and stature, but Williams reigns supreme in the backcourt at all times.

With Zubac and Harrell out for the foreseeable future, Marcus Morris and JaMychal Green will likely get increased opportunities in the frontcourt. Morris hasn’t had an impressive start in his Clippers tenure, but he’s only gotten 12 games in. As his role increases, he’s likely to heat up and improve upon his .386/.283/.818 shooting splits.

Remember, with the New York Knicks, he had splits of .442/.439/.823. It’s just a matter of time before he puts it all together again.

This brings us to the next wave of bench depth at the LA Clippers’ disposal.
