Dejounte Murray

At the forefront of this new and improved young core is the ferocious two-way point guard, Dejounte Murray.

Quickly, Murray has become a favorite of San Antonio Spurs fans. Murray has assumed the role as one of the most effective perimeter defenders at the one, and he’s only improving as a lockdown. Pair that with unselfish playmaking ability and a relentless, and improving scoring ability, and you have a promising young stud in the process.

Coming off a stint on the sidelines with a torn ACL, Murray already has made waves as a developing prospect with all intent to freeze opponents. Murray has developed a well-rounded game at the guard spot, and it’s evident that coach Pop will be thriving in the fruits of his labor.

With a quick-step game, Murray has become overlooked due to the Spurs’ current situation. The Spurs have been developing Murray to settle as a scoring and defensive threat that has already paired well with his veteran teammates.

Murray has demonstrated an All-Star potential, who is quickly becoming a candidate to break out as soon as next season. Evidently, the Spurs will have Murray in their future plans, possibly as their star leader, and rightfully so. Murray has such a high ceiling and floor, and could quickly become an All-Defensive team lock sooner rather than later. It’s only a matter of time when Murray becomes a fully-fledged offensive threat at the guard spot, and his time is almost here to prove his case as the Spurs leading guy.

As it stands, Dejounte Murray’s potential is undoubtedly high, and the Spurs will flourish under his leadership in the future.
