Heat culture

Whether you’re a fan of the Miami Heat or not, everyone should know by now that the Heat culture is real. It’s not a stat. It’s not something that can be measured. But it’s there. And this is arguably the main reason why they can shock everyone and reach the finals.

Heat culture is the reason why Robinson is having a historic shooting season or how Nunn solidified himself as a starter despite being an undrafted rookie. But there is more to it, especially after a four-month hiatus.

If you had to bet money on a team being in the best shape and most ready for the return of the season, what team would it be?

I think it’s a no-brainer; it’s the Miami Heat.

This way-too-long break from basketball also meant that players like Leonard and Nunn recovered fully from their injuries. It gave players that were playing big minutes a well-needed rest, but enough about rest.

Do you really think Pat Riley of all people would let any player get out of shape?

You even have the oldest player in the league keep working out despite not playing regularly. That kind of commitment and determination from the leader of the team sends out a strong message to everyone on the team.

Furthermore, we have players like Robinson and Herro saying how many films they been studying on the greatest shooters of all time such as Ray Allen and Klay Thompson. That’s the kind of thing you want to hear from your young guys.

When the games start soon, don’t be surprised to see every player 100 percent ready.

So, getting to the finals is beyond unlikely, but anything is possible. Stranger things have happened. Stranger things could happen, especially with the hiatus. Some players won’t be playing, and a completely different environment without fans could make this even more unpredictable.

Obviously the Miami Heat aren’t the favorites, however, they should be the favorites as the darkhorse.
