The Chicago Bulls season is now over, and Coby White had his ups and downs throughout. So we know he is a spectacular shooter, but what else can he do?

In the 2019 NBA draft, the Chicago Bulls selected Coby White,  6’4″ guard from the University of North Carolina. White was selected with the seventh pick which surprised no Bulls fans as the Bulls have gotten the 7th pick three times in a row. Starting with the Jimmy Butler trade, which landed the Bulls Lauri Markkanen.

After a shortened season and without making the cut for the NBA Disney playoff race, the Bulls are officially in the offseason. So let’s look at Coby White’s season.

Coby White had a productive year for the seventh pick on a struggling Bulls team. He played every game for the Bulls and averaged 13.2 points, 2.7 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game. White was one of the best rookies on offense in this draft class with nine 25+ point games, scoring more points than both RJ Barrett and Darius Garland.

A majority of those points came from deep as White took 5.8 attempts per game on a decent 35.4 percent for a rookie guard. His shooting wasn’t the only way he could score as White was great at driving to the ring which led to most of his assists for the season, the playmaking needs some work as well as the defense, but we’ll get to that.

This piece will look at three main categories as mentioned, his offense, his defense and his playmaking. This will show what he could improve and what he could project to become in the future, so let’s dive in.
