Boston Celtics: Jaylen Brown’s top 5 games this season
Looking back at the most impressive five games by Boston Celtics shooting guard, Jaylen Brown, so far during the 2019-2020 season.
This offseason, the Boston Celtics gave Jaylen Brown a new four-year, $115 million contract extension. Immediately, discussions began about whether or not the wingman was worth it, especially after rumors spread that the number would be closer to $80 million.
Even after the contract, Jaylen Brown was supposed to be the odd man out. With Walker and Tatum at the forefront of the Boston Celtics offense, Brown was the lonely number three, just there as a backup in case something happened.
This season Brown did not just show that he was worth the money, he convinced fans that he was the future of Celtics basketball. Through his ridiculous dunks, his pesty defense, and speed everywhere on the court, Brown let people know his value.

Even though he was not named an all-star, Brown seemed to at least be worthy of the honor. Brown increased efficiency from all spots on the floor, increasing his 3-point percentage, free throw percentage and field goal percentage, with a true shooting percentage of 59 percent. He also had career highs in per game totals like points, rebounds, assists, and steals.
At just 23 years old, Jaylen Brown still has a lot of room to grow, and in his new role has allowed him to do so. His maturity and work ethic have always been two of the most enticing qualities of the renaissance man, and continue to define his career. Alongside Jayson Tatum, the Celtics started to become one of the best blooming teams in the NBA, regularly leaning on the two.
With nearly another month until we get to see what he can do on the court again, let’s look back at the best five games he has had so far this season.
