Treat Kawhi Leonard’s final run the same as Allen Iverson’s
By Troy Hanning
Kawhi Leonard’s playoff run of 2019 should have been remembered the same as Allen Iverson’s in 2001. But whose was better?
The continuance of this season is the only thing keeping me stable, or as much as I can be. Exercise, guitar, talking to other humans, I tried everything. But it all felt like I was trapped in the longest timeout in league history.
Just one long commercial break where you try and trick yourself into being interested in something else to distract from the endless anticipation until the next play. And this timeout is only bearable with the assurance that the NBA is coming back. But the more I open my social media feed, the less sleep I get.
These are the things keeping me up at night
- So many NBA players and personal being tested positive for Covid-19 that Adam Silver just decides to scrap the Disney tournament (My nights consist of cold sweat and a lot of shaking)
- A potential need for a spike in the Black Lives Matter movement (hopefully there is no reason for this to come true)
- Kyrie Irving insisting on creating his own league (OK, maybe not that concerning)
Sorry, I thought all this information was valid as to why I was thinking about NBA theories randomly. Anyway, who do you think had a more impressive playoff run? Allen Iverson’s 2001 MVP slaughter or Leonard’s 2019 termination?
