The NBA has as much talent right now than at any point in its history, but who are the four best players under the age of 21 in the league?

As we edge closer to the NBA hopefully returning in Florida, despite the worrying amount of players currently testing positive for Covid-19, one thing we can say with certainty is that the league is in a great position in terms of the young talent coming through. So much so, that expanding the league to 32 teams in the future could actually end up working.

More from NBA

The way the talent is spread out, and the sheer volume of it, make so many games on any given night worth tuning into. The league has perhaps never been in a better place from a talent standpoint, and that is saying a lot when you consider some of the guys who started off strong and have gone on to have Hall of Fame-level careers.

Nestled in among this group of top tier players there is a bunch of guys under the age of 21 who are already difference-makers, and who make the organizations they play for have a bright future (or present) already simply by being there.

The hard part comes in creating a roster to put around these incredible talents to get the most out of them in the future, but that is not to worry about now. Instead, these youngsters should be marveled for what they are doing in the league already, even with LeBron James still at the peak of his powers and a whole host of superstars giving them their best every night.

The following is a list of the top four players under the age of 21 in the league right now. A cut off point created more so because if you expand it even to 22, then it becomes harder to whittle down the selection.

It also means that some of these guys won’t, in theory, hit their peaks until around 2030, and when you consider where we were as a world back in 2010 and how long ago that seems (Kobe Bryant was Finals MVP that year), that is a frightening thought for the franchises in the league that doesn’t have one of these players right now.
