5. T.J. Warren (Two years, $24 million)

T.J. Warren has always been an efficient scorer, but it wasn’t until he was dealt from the lowly Phoenix Suns to the playoff-bound Indiana Pacers where people began to realize it.

Warren has averaged 18.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game with a true shooting percentage of 59.9, doing his best to fill the hole left by the extended absence of Victor Oladipo. Only 15 other players can claim such numbers while also taking at least 3.0 triples per game.

Among those attempting more than 11.0 2-pointers per game, Warren’s career-best percentage of 57.1 ranks eighth, ahead of uber-efficient scorers like LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

After five years in Phoenix, his contributions are finally going to a worthy cause. No surprise then that he’s posted a positive on-court plus/minus per 100 possessions (plus-2.0) for the first time in his career.

Nothing wows the common fan about Warren, but teams could do worse than an interchangeable forward with an array of efficiency scoring options producing close to 20 points a night. Even more so at a salary that was a steal for the Suns when he signed the deal back in 2017 and has given Indiana the cheap scoring punch its so desperately needed.
