The Milwaukee Bucks will head into the NBA’s restart with the best record. Here’s a look at few numbers that could improve their championship odds.

Last season, the Milwaukee Bucks finished with the best record in the league, winning a franchise-best 60 games. This was quite the accomplishment considering they had not won more than 46 games in the previous 10 seasons. Although they breezed through the first two rounds of the 2019 NBA playoffs, the conference finals proved to be a different story.

More from Hoops Habit

After taking the first two games against the Toronto Raptors, the Bucks went on to lose the next four contests, thus bringing their season to a disappointing end. For those of us who may have been tempted to think that the 2018-19 campaign was a fluke, I would advise you to think again.

Before the 2019-20 NBA season was suspended indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Bucks had the best record in the league at 53-12. Additionally, reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo was putting together another sensational season, posting career-highs in points (29.6), rebounds (13.7), while also increasing his proficiency from beyond the arc. Did I mention he put up these numbers while playing fewer minutes per game than he did last season?

More than likely, when the NBA season resumes in Orlando, the Bucks have a good chance to finish with the best record in the league for the second straight year. The question is whether their regular season will translate into postseason success.

With that sentiment in mind, here is a look at a few numbers that could improve the team’s title hopes with the playoffs on the horizon.
