Paul Arizin

Like Fulks, Paul Arizin also played for the Philadelphia Warriors for the entirety of his career from 1950 to 1965. In fact, Arizin was a first-round pick in the 1950 NBA draft and was selected by the Warriors. He started his career with great numbers. In his first year, Arizin averaged 17.2 points per game and was named rookie of the year.

In the following season, he averaged 25.4 points per game and a field goal average of 44.8 percent. Like Fulks, Arizin was famous for his jump shots as well. After his first two years in the league, the 6-foot-4 forward’s career was temporarily suspended until 1954 as he went to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Paul Arizin’s game did not diminish when he returned from his military service. He went on to win the 1956 NBA championship and 10 NBA All-Star Games. Arizin was an incredibly consistent player in the eight seasons from his return to his retirement, averaging a career 22.8 points per game, a 42.1 field goal percentage, and never dipping below an average of 20 points per game for any given season.

Arizin retired in 1965 when the Philadelphia Warriors decided to move to San Francisco.
