There are a plethora of intriguing players eligible to get signed for the NBA’s resumed season, six of them standing above the rest.

The 2019-20 NBA season will resume next month, and one of the most critical questions about the league’s restart surrounds the current free agent market.

According to reports, the league will expand the current roster capacity to 17 players for the 22 returning teams, up from the typical 15 players to help teams in these unpredictable circumstances.

If things go according to plan, the NBA will return to action at Walt Disney World’s Wide World of Sports in Orlando after a layoff of about four and a half months after the season was suspended in mid-March due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Fans and teams alike were seeking clarity on what the situation would be regarding who would be eligible to sign with returning teams.

It was initially unclear precisely whom teams could sign to those final two spots, but clarity has finally been provided.

Marc Stein of the New York Times recently cleared things up in a series of tweets.

Given these exciting new and clarified rules, there are several pieces available to sign on the market right now that could potentially bolster a team’s chances of contending. Naturally, most of these players are not bonafide superstars, hence why they were free agents to begin with.

Nonetheless, for a team battling with injuries, concerns that a rotational player may sit out (as is their right), or whatever the case, they could make a splash on the free agent market. The NBA transaction window, when these players will become eligible to sign, starts on June 23rd and ends June 30th.

For reference, Darren Collison will not be featured on this list as he firmly stated back in February that he will stay retired. Aside from him, here are the six best options on the market right now for teams to look at signing during that window next week.
