Boston Celtics – Kendrick Perkins and Paul Pierce

On the more light-hearted side, it is embarrassing to the Celtics organization that two players who helped them win a championship have become such hot take artists in the media, to the extent that there are almost completely without credibility.

Both of them have taken every chance to criticize people who did not play the game for giving their basketball opinions but then continuously letting personal biases run segments on TV. Paul Pierce refuses to give any credit to LeBron James, saying that he is not a top-five player of all time and continuously taking shots whenever he gets a chance.

Perkins takes a similar tact with Stephen Curry. He is in an uncomfortable position because he wants to side with the 2008 Celtics but he also played with James so he simply reserves his vitriol for the Golden State Warriors because (surprise) he was beaten by them in the playoffs.

For a team that only won one NBA title the Boston Celtics act like they are the defining dynasty of the century. Transforming into two take artists and forgetting that more often than not they also came up short it is a tough look for two successful Celtics. But at least their team is mostly great this season.
