2. Markieff Morris

Markieff Morris is so high up on this list purely because of how he’s been paid for a player averaging 11.5 points and 5.4 rebounds throughout nine NBA seasons.

At 6’8”, 245 pounds, Morris has the height as well as the athleticism and quickness to defend guards/small forwards. With a 6’11” wingspan, he disrupts the passing lanes well enough to average just short of 1.0 steals a game as well.

His rebounding isn’t a strong suit per se, but it’s still a stat worth noting. Considering his average height and tendency to play around the perimeter, 5.4 rebounds per game is solid.

And though he could never compare to Steph or Klay’s shooting abilities, Markieff has come into his own so far this year with the Detroit Pistons, with a 3-point percentage of 38.6 percent. If Steph or Klay happens to be injured, Markieff is not a replacement to feel bad about.

Markieff Morris has been an average player his entire career, but unfortunately, he still does not get the attention he deserves. Sure, he may not be able to average 20 points per game like his brother did in New York, but he can give a little bit of everything for the Warriors as their starting forward. For $5 million per year, that’s not a bad deal.
