1. Versatility in the City (D.C.)

Lastly, Hachimura is the third-best player on the Wizards because of the versatility he brings to the team. In last year’s draft, a lot of Washington fans and critics were confused by the selection of the rookie with the 9th pick.

Even though Wall is out until next season this season will pay off for the rookie because it will prepare him on what lies ahead.

It’s easy for people to blame Wall for the lack of ball movement or for when the team loses. However, most role players who play with Wall are never prepared for the moment.

The 2019-20 season will allow Hachimura to continue to work on his all-around game which will be needed for next season. The forward has the ability to impact the game in any area.

Right now, the Gonzaga product is averaging 6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Again he is a rookie and he will continue to develop his game.

On the flip side, the Wizards’ rookie does a lot of things that are left off the stat sheet. He moves without the ball, listens to his veterans, and goes hard on every possession.

This season for Washington included a lot of losses but Hachimura continued to battle as if the team could come back at any time.

Whatever the outcome of the season is, the Wizards will benefit from their draft selection of Hachimura as he will be around for years.
