The Charlotte Hornets are a rebuilding team that need help in a lot of areas, and there’s plenty of former players who would fit the bill.
With the Charlotte Hornets being an organization that is rebuilding right now, there is no pressure on them to win a lot of games and make a push for the playoffs. That being said, one look at their roster and it is clear they don’t have the kind of players to do that, even if they wanted to.

While Devonte’ Graham was a nice surprise and had some nice moments throughout the season, other players such as Terry Rozier failed to have the desired impact. Perhaps it is just as well then that they will not be in Florida for the resumption of the season, instead of having an even longer summer to try and map their way back to relevance.
Despite being a franchise that is in a smaller market and has never been a serious contender, some great players have laced them up to play in the teal of the Hornets down through the years. The kind of players who, if they were available and in their prime today, would bring much-needed help to their ranks.
So let’s take a look back at four of the guys that they have to choose from, to see who could have the most impact now. The game may have changed considerably, but the skill-sets of these three are such that they would help almost any team in any era. This is even more true when you see the glaring holes in the Hornets roster currently.
The only omission made on purpose here was point guard Kemba Walker. It would be easy to add him to this list, but given that he only left a year ago, it seemed more fun to keep him off of it. Which is ironic because he is the only player of the ones we’re about to mention still playing, but then the pain of his departure still stings too.
