Conference finals:

Be honest, is there any other matchup that would happen? And if so, would anyone want that to happen? Obviously not. The battle of Los Angeles is something every and I mean every fan will be watching. This will be the biggest threat to the LA Clippers.

The Clippers and the Lakers met each other three times and while the Clippers did win two of those games, we all know it is just regular-season games.

We also know once the playoffs start, we are not getting the casual let’s coast, James. No. We get playoffs James and that is when he turns it to a whole other level. Some people seem to forget that the last time we saw him in the playoffs, he carried the Cleveland Cavaliers to the finals and had one of the greatest games in the finals.

There are people that will use the argument that he did not make the playoffs last year or that he probably is not the same as his 2018 self, but that is a topic for another day. It just seems funny that the same player that is second in the MVP and would have been the clear-cut winner if it was not for the historic run Giannis Antetokounmpo is having. Think about that, for a second.

This same player who has not missed the finals for eight straight years had not one, but two occasions to recover and rest. There is some much he can do alone, however, it is still more than anyone else in the league, but it is still a team effort.

I believe that the Lakers do have the best player and the third-best player in the series, but the Clippers are a lot deeper. The Clippers have many scoring threats and also playmakers. Whereas the Lakers’ main issues are lack of another playmaker and a reliable scoring threat.

While the Clippers do have the edge, I simply cannot ignore or forget what James has done throughout his career with less help against the various competitions. Until he shows he cannot do this, I do not see a reason to count him out.

Well, it looks like this hiatus did not change much for the LA Clippers apart from a slightly more challenging first-round matchup. Their biggest threat is still the Lakers and they will most definitely meet in the conference finals and give us one of the best series in recent memory.
