Brought on by the discussion of the rivalry in The Last Dance, for at least a few weeks everyone seemed to be talking about the Detroit Pistons and the Chicago Bulls.

While the rivalry has certainly cooled since the end of the Bad Boys, the rivalries between the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls is still one of the most notable rivalries in the history of the NBA.

That being said, it may surprise some fans just how many players have crossed enemy lines and played for both franchises. Including current Pistons there have been 47 players to suit up for both teams. There examples of all sorts of players: bench warmers, starters, All-Stars and Hall of Famers.

Given that the Bulls were founded 25 years after the Pistons there are plenty of players that never had the chance to play for both franchises. However, the first Bulls team featured four former Pistons, tying the franchises together since the inception of the Bulls.

We will be going over each player to wear both jerseys, starting all the way back in the 1960s and culminating with the present-day examples. Some of them were Bad Boys. Some of them were champions alongside Jordan and Pippen.

A couple were even a part of the Goin’ to Work Pistons. Others, this will be the first time you ever hear of them. Part of the fun of NBA history is that while some people you have never heard of before affected the team you love and the team you love to hate in ways you never knew.
