The Brooklyn Nets have not shied away from their desire to land a third star this offseason, but excluding Bradley Beal, who should they potentially target?

Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets made headlines earlier this season when he told the media, “it’s glaring in terms of the pieces that we need in order to be at that next level.” While Kevin Durant is still yet to play in a Brooklyn uniform due to his Achilles rehab, the organization apparently agreed with Irving and had recently begun searching for a third star.

Daily News’ Stefan Bondy reported earlier last month that the Nets “have internally discussed” ways to acquire Bradley Beal from the Washington Wizards to be that third star. While that sounded like a nightmare for the rest of the NBA, it appeared to be all just a pipe dream for Brooklyn as Beal assured he does not want to leave the Wizards anytime soon.

With Beal ruled out of their offseason plans, what other players should be on Brooklyn’s radar to potentially come in and be that third star beside Durant and Irving? Well, there could be a variety of options if the Nets would be willing to go all-in.

With the team having tied over $300 million into Durant, Irving, and DeAndre Jordan last summer, any top-tier acquisition would not come cheap. Having to give up players such as Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie, or Jarrett Allen would likely be required, and worth it for several top-tier players.

If the Brooklyn Nets would be willing to do whatever it takes to acquire their third star, here are three options they should target this offseason.
