15 NBA documentaries we would binge during the hiatus

12. Sixth Man: The Lou Williams Story
This seems like an oddly specific player to get a documentary, yet from the stories of Lou Williams’ past that we’ve heard, it feels like we’d be in for a ride.
Easily one of the best players to come off the bench, Williams has had a fantastic career after getting drafting out of high school in the 2005 Draft. From his tenure with the Philadelphia 76ers to his revitalized point with the LA Clippers, it feels warranted for everyone to hear the story of Williams.
The Clippers did release a short-film about Sweet Lou titled the Underground GOAT, but something reminiscent of a 30 for 30 film would be perfect for the sixth-man God. Most importantly, hearing the stories of his career, such as how he stopped a robber and got dinner with him, is something we’d all tune into.
It’s an oddly specific player to get a documentary. Yet, from his story of getting to the NBA as a high-schooler to that whole robbery story, a director would miss the ship to ignore this opportunity.
Looking at his long and prosperous career is something that would captivate audiences, more specifically hardcore NBA fans who understand the hardships he’s been through. Lou Will’s career hasn’t been perfect, but his story of making the NBA and proving doubters wrong as the 45th pick in the 2005 Draft is hard to give up on.
The documentary could even look at his past resurgent season apart of the Clippers, leading the team to a playoff run and even almost upsetting the Warriors in the first round. Hell, that LA Clippers squad deserves a documentary.
