New York’s perspective

Despite only playing 13 games this season, the schedule had it that Oladipo would face the New York Knicks twice during that short period of time. Funny enough, those two games would be his worst games this season, scoring a total of 15 points on 5-22 shooting.

If that isn’t enough to attract New York’s management towards Victor, here is a bit of harsh truth. If Oladipo were to join the team, he would instantly become the team’s best offensive, defensive and consequently overall player on the squad.

He would instantly bring the All-Star mentality to the gang and act as a mentor to both Barrett and Knox. With Oladipo’s work ethic, those guys could quickly turn into stars and invaluable members of the Knicks.

Other than that, due to the fact that the 2020 free agency class is considered to be one of the weakest of recent history, it would be absurd for the Knicks to make no significant moves. Sitting with your hands crossed won’t get you into the 2021 NBA Playoffs.
