As Danilo Gallinari prepares to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, we examine three possible destinations that would be a realistic fit.

An unrestricted free agent this summer, Danilo Gallinari will turn 32 years old in August while coming off a productive first season in with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Before the NBA indefinitely suspended its 2019-20 season, Gallinari was averaging 19.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game on 43.9 percent shooting along with an impressive 40.9 percentage from 3-point range.

At 6’10”, Gallinari has identified himself as an efficient shooter with length and size. He’ll be one of the top free agents in 2020, especially at the small forward or power forward position.

Gallinari is an impactful offensive weapon from all angles on the court but also lacks defensively on the perimeter. Any team that would be interested in him would presumably be trying to boost their offensive firepower.

Oklahoma City received Gallinari along with 21-year-old stud Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and a league-record seven first-round picks involved in the package that sent All-Star Paul George to the LA Clippers last summer. The deal set up an excellent opportunity for them to prepare for the future.

While the positive outlook for their future remains intact, the Thunder also shattered expectations this season as they currently stand fifth in the loaded Western Conference.

Although the Thunder seemed to be shifting toward rebuilding after trading George and Russell Westbrook, they are still capable of becoming a playoff team and could still be interested in re-signing Gallinari.

However, if Gallinari chooses elsewhere, here are three other destinations that would suit his services.
