The Chicago Bulls had several unsung heroes from their championship run during the 1990s. Here’s a look back at a few of them.

For Chicago Bulls fans, the 1997-98 season was the last hurrah for one of the greatest NBA dynasties in modern-day history. Over the course of the past five weekends, that Bulls team was the centerpiece of a 10-part documentary that aired on ESPN titled “The Last Dance”.

Not only did the docuseries give fans an inside look of that team, but it also provided a look back at the previous five Chicago Bulls title teams as well. No one will forget about the first time Michael Jordan squared off against Magic Johnson in the 1991 NBA Finals that the Bulls took in five games after losing the series opener.

And how about the duel between Jordan and Clyde Drexler in 1992, when the men were considered the top two-guards in the league at that time. During the documentary, Jordan talked about how he took exception to being compared to Drexler and sought to dispel such talk throughout the course of that series.

As every basketball fan is aware of, Johnson and Drexler weren’t the only future Hall-of-Famers that Jordan defeated en route to six titles. He also defeated Charles Barkley’s Phoenix Suns in 1993. Then the Bulls proceeded to defeat Gary Payton and the Seattle SuperSonics and capped off their championship run with a pair of Finals wins against Karl Malone and John Stockton — one of the most formidable duos in the league during that era.

The one area that didn’t get a ton of airtime was the group of guys that played a pivotal role in the Finals series of those championship seasons. So, without further ado, here’s a look at some of the unsung heroes of those championship squads.
