Norman Powell: A+

Typically missing 20 games means that your season has gone down the drain. Norman Powell has played so well this year, that two injuries can’t even hold him back.

Powell is having the best season of his career, and if it weren’t for the vast amount of games missed, he would be in the running for Sixth Man of the Year and Most Improved Player.

How does a champion prepare for the season? Ask the Raptors. light. Related Story

This is Powell’s first time in his career averaging double-digit points, with 16.4 points per game. Not to mention a career-high in rebounds per game, assists per game, steals per game, and blocks per game, on career-high efficiencies.

It seemed as if every time Powell got the ball rolling, he got hurt. Even after his recent player of the week award, he went down with an injury right before the season suspension.

The rumors surrounding trading Powell were unending, and people thought his $10 million per year was too much. Powell far exceeded mine, and everyone else’s expectations for him this season, and I just hope he can avoid getting hurt again because he was having a fantastic year.
