ESPN First Take sparked this debate on Thursday when they ranked Russell Westbrook as the 12th-best player currently in the NBA. This led to many conversations as people argued whether or not he should have been ranked either higher or lower on the list.

While being ranked the 12th best current player is certainly an honor, there’s an argument that Westbrook deserves to be ranked as one of the top 10 players in the NBA.

He can score, dish the ball, and crash the boards. He’s also a leader who always finds a way to energize his team. There are not many players in the league that bring as much to the table as Westbrook does. There certainly aren’t 10 players in the league as versatile and do as much for there team as Westbrook does.
