E’Twaun Moore

First, we have a semi-prototypical “Three-and-D” wing in E’Twaun Moore. The reason Moore makes the list is simply because he provides great value at the taxpayer mid-level exception. Moore provides great spacing while also being able to provide solid defense.

Over the course of his career, E’Twaun Moore has flown under the radar. Moore spent the majority of his career bouncing around from team to team until he found a home with the New Orleans Pelicans in 2016. He was one of the many players who received a substantial raise as a part of the NBA salary cap going up exponentially that year.

As a result, Moore was able to cash in and finally land a secure job in New Orleans. One of the most intriguing aspects of his game most definitely lies in his shooting. Over Moore’s career as a Pelican, he’s averaged 40.4 percent from beyond the arc. This would be an immediate upgrade for the Sixers.

On the other side, Moore has shown that he can play solid defense over his career. He never netted worse than around a -1.1 for his defensive box plus/minus during his time in New Orleans. You could say that he can hang at the very least. For a guy coming off the bench, that’s all you can really ask for.

While it wouldn’t be an absolute game-changer, it’s a step in the right direction for the 76ers. Moore would create the spacing that the Sixers need in order to truly need in order to succeed. As such, E’Twaun Moore could be a candidate to watch out for with that Taxpayer Mid-Level Salary Exception.
