Has the time come for the NBA to cancel the 2019-2020 season?

At the start of the month, the league announced that it will be postponing its draft lottery and combine. The basic reasoning is that there would be no place for prospects to work out in a combine, and since the season wasn’t finished, there wasn’t a clear picture as to where teams would rank in the lottery.
There was no word on any changes to the date of the draft, June 25th, but the overwhelming consensus is that a postponing of the draft isn’t far off.
The league pushing back the dates of its combine and lottery do show one thing though: there is still hope that the season could resume. But, even if there is an overwhelming number of officials who believe basketball will return for this season (as ESPN reported two weeks ago), is it the best thing? Both for the players and the league?
Well, the first question that would need an answer is how. How are teams going to continue play of 259 games and a four-round playoff, which would take roughly three to four months to complete? This is where the concept of a “bubble” city comes in.
