Zach LaVine

Much like Jaylen Brown, many believed that Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls was also a name that got snubbed from this year’s All-Star nominees. LaVine played in 60 games this season, having averaged career-bests in both points and rebounds, with a stat line of 25.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.

LaVine put up better numbers than some of those who were All-Stars, and behind Bradley Beal, was unquestionably the NBA’s biggest snub. With a big chip likely placed on his shoulder because of this absence, LaVine will likely make sure it does not happen again.

The 24-year-old has been one of the few bright spots for the Chicago Bulls in recent memory as he has asserted himself as one of the league’s young stars for a team in need of help. Due to his team’s lackluster efforts over the past few seasons, LaVine often gets disregarded, even in the midst of a career-year.

Still, if LaVine can improve upon his career year this season and carry that success over to next year, the shooting guard could be a lock for his first All-Star game.

Still, the guard competition out in the Eastern Conference will not be a cakewalk for LaVine as he should have to turn it up a notch. With stiff competitors such as Kemba Walker, Kyle Lowry, Bradley Beal, and a healthy Kyrie Irving, but if determined, LaVine has a legitimate shot at making his first All-Star appearance in the 2020-21 season.
