#5 Pick: Malcolm Brogdon (Originally: Kris Dunn)

While I am still a believer in Kris Dunn’s potential nailing this pick was imperative to the development of this roster. With Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine already in place on coach Tom Thibodeau’s team a team-first point guard was the ideal fit to take the next step. If there was ever a rookie to earn Thibodeau’s trust from the start it is Malcolm Brogdon.

Brogdon fits the prototype the Timberwolves thought they were drafting in Dunn but has realized that potential already.  Dunn may be a slightly stronger defender but Brogdon fits the bill as a star point guard who makes his teammates better.
