Anthony Davis will be the hottest commodity on the NBA’s free-agent market this offseason, and several teams should make a run at the 27-year-old.

In his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers, Anthony Davis performed at an exceptional level, having averaged 26.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. Davis’ presence alongside LeBron James elevated the Lakers to atop the Western Conference and genuine NBA title contenders.

Regardless, if the remainder of the season gets canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, Davis will enter free agency with an array of teams interested in signing him. With his league-wide interest, Davis will undoubtedly be the most coveted free agent target this offseason, and for good reason.

The seven-time All-Star can potentially transform any franchise into immediate championship contenders, and at just 27 years old, he continues to improve with each passing year. While sticking with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers may seem like the clear-cut long-term option for Davis, he has not committed long-term to them, making it known that his future is unclear.

With testing free agency possibly becoming a reality this offseason, several teams could do their best to lure Davis away from the spotlight in Los Angeles. While Davis’ free agency desires have remained under wraps since he joined the Lakers last offseason, him leaving Los Angeles after he likely declines his player option should not get ruled out until he makes a decision.

With several other teams looking to make a significant splash in free agency and acquire their franchise player, anything is possible in today’s NBA. With that, here are three teams that should go all-in on Anthony Davis this offseason in free agency.
