The Cleveland Cavaliers had some phenomenal moments in the Big 3 era. Here are their top five most memorable NBA Playoff moments.

There was nothing quite like the Big 3 era for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Across four seasons, the trio of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love brought the franchise more success than it has seen in any other four-year stretch.

It all began in the 2014-15 season when James announced he was coming back home to the Cavaliers. He would be joining a rising All-Star in Irving while Love would soon be on his way via a trade.

Their first year together was bumpy as injuries ultimately derailed their chance at a title. James did his best to shoulder the offensive load with both of his star teammates sidelined but was ultimately trumped in six games by the Golden State Warriors.

However, they soon had a chance for revenge in 2016 when they battled their way back to the NBA Finals and completed an iconic comeback that will be talked about forever.

The 2016-17 NBA season proved to be their final one together as a trio and it may have been their best in terms of cohesiveness. They rampaged through the Eastern Conference, losing only one game en route to their third straight NBA Finals appearance. Of course, they eventually ran into a brick wall in those Finals when the had to face an overwhelming lineup of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

Their run as a Big 3 came to an end in the summer of 2017 when Irving demanded a trade. This didn’t hold the franchise from reaching the finals once again but they were severely understaffed for a fourth matchup with the Dubs.

Following James’ departure in 2018, Love is now the only remaining member of the three. Recently, Love stated he wishes they would have had one more chance to run it back together before Irving was traded. While we will never be able to change how it ended, we can reflect on the five best moments from this unforgettable era.
