#5 Pick – Memphis Grizzlies: Goran Dragic (Originally: Kevin Love)

Goran Dragic takes the biggest leap in this re-draft. From being taken with pick No. 45 to jumping into the top five, Dragic has had an unexpected yet amazing, yet still underrated career.

At his best, Dragic averaged 20.3 points and 5.9 assists per game shooting 50.5 percent from the field 40.8 percent from three. Dragic has remained a consistently good point guard for the Phoenix Suns, and Miami Heat and was rewarded in 2018 with a position on the All-Star team.

Goran doesn’t necessarily have all the accolades to back up what he has done in his career, but his ability to be a strong leader and a great player at the league’s most important position is what earns him this top-five spot.

His tenure in Miami has placed him alongside a large number of different teammates, and yet he’s remained consistent through it all. Dragic’s willingness to come off the bench, be the leader and play off-ball is another commencement to how great he’s been. A guy should never be punished for taking a lesser role in an attempt to make the team better.

There are rarely if any complaints about Dragic as a teammate. He is a pesky defender and a smooth offensive player who has consistently created problems for opposing point guards throughout his career, thus earning him the fifth pick in the 2008 NBA re-draft.
