3. Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks already have a solidified star in Trae Young, but adding Ingram to the mix could help them take that next step in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. Atlanta finished as the 14-seed when the season halted with a 20-47 record. Although Young played exceptionally all season, the rest of the team did not follow his lead.

Still, Atlanta pulled the trigger on a deal that added big-man Clint Capela before the trade deadline, a certified signal that they were looking to contend sooner rather than later. Capela did not play a game for the Hawks yet, but once the next season begins, he will be a prominent role within their team.

Still, even after the Capela trade, the Hawks do not appear ready to earnestly contend just yet, something that signing Brandon Ingram could change. A Big Three of Young, Capela, and Brandon Ingram would have the potential to make some noise in the Eastern Conference, with two All-Stars and a lethal center to lead the way.

Furthermore, Atlanta has the capabilities to get it done if they choose. The Hawks are among one of the league’s teams with the most spending money this summer and could offer Ingram that lucrative contract he desires. Playing alongside the likes of rising stars such as Young, Capela, and John Collins, among others on their potential-filled roster could also be intriguing to Ingram, which could draw him in.

Overall, the Atlanta Hawks large amount of cap space and a young roster could create an exciting option for Brandon Ingram to ponder this summer. While their offseason intentions are unclear at the moment, Atlanta should consider at least making a run at Ingram.
