Fresh off his first All-Star campaign, Brandon Ingram will become a free agent when the NBA season has concluded and will be a highly sought after target.

In his first year with the New Orleans PelicansBrandon Ingram played at a sensational level, the highest of his young career. Ingram averaged career highs in points at 24.3, rebounds at 6.3, and assists at 4.3 per game in what turned out to be his first All-Star appearance in a Western Conference loaded with talent.

It appeared that a fresh start was exactly what Ingram needed after three seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, as he transformed himself into one of the premier free agent targets this summer. Anthony Davis is the clear-cut first target this offseason, but Ingram should be second for his breakout year.

At 22-years-old, Ingram has not even scratched the surface of his potential and, if surrounded with the proper talent, has showcased that he could be a viable option on a team with winning aspirations.

Because of his ascending status as a star player in this league, Ingram will likely command a maximum contract this offseason, something that may scare specific teams away. However, there are several organizations with the proper capabilities to land Ingram that could be desirable destinations, which he may consider.

Ingram will be a restricted free agent, so that means New Orleans can match any offer made to the forward. That does not guarantee he will be back in a Pelicans jersey next season if an offer is high enough to scare New Orleans away.

While much remains unknown about Ingram’s free agency plans, one thing to be sure is that teams will be calling the All-Star forward in an attempt to potentially make him the face of their franchise for years to come. With that, here are three teams that should target Brandon Ingram this offseason.
