5. Myles Turner

Another long overdue transaction is the Indiana Pacers dealing of big man Myles Turner. The 24-year-old center’s been made expendable in the growth and rise of Domantas Sabonis.

Still, Turner is a quality rim protector who can stretch the floor. If Indiana truly makes him available, expect plenty of teams to come calling. The 2018-2019 blocks leader posted 11.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game in 55 appearances this season.

Per Basketball Reference, only 6 players averaged 2+ or more blocks this year, but only 3 of them attempted more than 200 on the season (Brook Lopez, Kristaps Porzingis).

Turner is as versatile a big man as you can get at this stage in his career. A larger volume of assists would make him one of the best among those in the Eastern Conference. But with a potential Victor Oladipo extension in the works, Turner’s $18-million likely won’t survive in Indiana.

The Cleveland Cavaliers inquired on Turner before making a move for Andre Drummond at the trade deadline, but still consider them a landing spot. Additionally, both the Memphis Grizzlies and Washington Wizards would make sense as potential trade partners.
