LA Clippers have the chance to win multiple championships
Chemistry
The most important ingredient to this team’s likely consistency year in and year out is their chemistry. When you put a team together they have to be able to play with each other. If they cannot play together it doesn’t matter how much talent you have on the team.
The 2011 Miami Heat had all the talent in the world but it was their first season together and they did not have the team togetherness that you need to win a title. That, in turn, led to the Finals meltdown.
You would expect that team with great players like LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh to have the best record in the league but that year they didn’t have the best record in their conference.
Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are both from southern California and they got together to play on this team. Lou Williams is on record saying that he doesn’t want to play for any other team. So their best players want to be on this team.
There are still pieces from the 2018-19 team still on the squad and they showed their resiliency in the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs. They took the defending champion Golden State Warriors to six games as an eighth seed.
Players like Ivica Zubac, Montrezl Harrell, JaMychal Green, Landry Shamet, Patrick Beverley and Lou Williams were all on that team and they help make up the toughness that this team has now.
With players that play tough defense and knock down shots along with superstars that want to play for the team, this team is set up to contend for a championship year in and year out in the future.
