1. Brad Wanamaker

The once MVP of the ’17-’18 Turkish League Finals in Brad Wanamaker may find himself a free agent in the upcoming offseason.

Wanamaker’s bread is buttered in a fast-break, second-chance point scenario, where he often converts within the scoring metric. In a half-court setting, however, he’s been often less than average.  He’s nearly doubled his scoring production from last year (3.9) at 6.6 points per game. Yet that comes at 19.3 minutes, a reasonable amount of playing time for a reserve to contribute more.

Wanamaker has often been the subject of controversy this season. When successful, he’s a key part of the momentum from the reserves unit. On the contrary, he’s often been a scapegoat for the Celtics’ shortcomings in games that they were favored to win.

Ideally, for the Celtics to be successful upon the return of the NBA season, especially in the playoffs, Wanamaker is unlikely to be the x-factor coming off the bench against any juggernauts in the East.

With free agency slated to be much later than usual, more score-savvy bench guards could become available for a reasonable price, leaving Wanamaker in the wind of the free agency pool.
