Brandon Ingram (wing) – New Orleans Pelicans

Next, the Philadelphia 76ers could consider bringing in a rising star in New Orleans Pelicans small forward Brandon Ingram. After a slightly disappointing run with the Los Angeles Lakers, Ingram was moved as part of a deal for Anthony Davis. This move turned out to be a win-win for both sides, as Davis has proven to be dominant and Ingram has shown that he can hang with the big dogs.

This season, Ingram is averaging 24.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. Obviously, those are career numbers in all three categories. On top of that, Ingram is posting a 38.9 3-point percentage. This supersedes every Philly starter by far.

With that in mind, Ingram would be a perfect addition to the Philadelphia 76ers starting lineup. He would provide the shooting that the team needs, coupled with the ability to create his own shot. It would be a match made in heaven, for sure.

Now, you’re probably wondering, why would Ingram be on the trading block? Well, rumors have circulated that the Sixers could potentially move Joel Embiid for Brandon Ingram once he signs a max deal with New Orleans in a sign-and-trade. To me, this would be too much for Ingram, since Embiid is by far the superior player. Simply put, the Sixers are not at the point where they should move Simmons nor Embiid, yet. The rest of the roster is the issue here. Build the team properly, and the Sixers will be okay.

With that in mind, a package of Richardson and Horford may make more sense. While I’m sure Pels fans would much rather have Embiid, getting Horford would probably be the better move for Zion Williamson’s development. On top of that, the Pels would get a solid wing in Richardson as a replacement. As such, this move could provide more depth to the Pels, and give Philadelphia the true scorer that they need.
