Golden State Warriors: Ranking the 2014-2019 Dynasty Teams
By Drew Taylor
#5. 2018-2019 Warriors
Over the previous four seasons, the Golden State Warriors were unbeatable. They couldn’t be outshot, outrebounded, or outscored. Their talent, but most importantly their chemistry and fluidity of play gave them an advantage no team could crack. That is, until, last season.

Coming into the 2018-19 season, the Warriors hype train was hotter than ever. They had just won another title and added four-time All-Star DeMarcus Cousins. With all of their starters potentially being All-Stars or All-NBA, the expectations were through the roof.
To say the least, the Warriors did not live up to the hype. They simply stopped dominating opposing squads. DeMarcus Cousins didn’t make his debut until late January, and both Steph Curry and Draymond Green had injury stints.
They still won 57 games, but that was the least wins in a season since the ‘13-’14 squad. Their shooters still shot, their scorers still scored, and their players still played, but with injuries, drama on as well as off the court, and the rising suspicion Kevin Durant would leave following the season, the Warriors looked weak. Opposing teams were no longer afraid.
Even with the best offensive and defensive ratings in the NBA, the Warriors now looked more beatable than ever. And as you know, that’s exactly what Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors did in the Finals. As a matter of fact, they beat them pretty handily.
