NBA: 3 teams that should pursue a trade for Derrick Rose this offseason

Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers have one of the most well-built starting lineups in the Eastern Conference, but their depth was concerning at specific points throughout the season. The point guard position is somewhere the team could use a boost in terms of depth because while ascending star Ben Simmons is the team’s starter, the only other true point guard on the roster is Raul Neto.
According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, Philadelphia was indeed interested in bringing Rose in before this year’s NBA trade deadline. While nothing ever came of it in terms of an actual deal, the 76ers could look to pull the trigger and acquire him this coming offseason.
The 76ers ranked 26th in bench points scored this past season at 31.4 per game and desperately could have used some help. As the primary backup point guard, Neto averaged 4.3 points per game this season, which contributed very little to Philadelphia’s success.
Rose’s affordable contract and veteran experience are exactly what the Philadelphia 76ers need, which makes it very likely they at least attempt to package a trade for him this offseason. If they pull this trade off, the 76ers get an immediate upgrade at the guard position off the bench and stand a much better chance against other top-tier teams.
