Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors season propelled downward fast as the team was without two-time MVP Stephen Curry and his running mate Klay Thompson for most of the year. The team finished with the worst record in the league at 15-50 but are prepared to jump back into contention next season with a healthy roster.

While the team is going to get Curry and Thompson back, the team also has Andrew Wiggins to fill their vacant small forward position, and possibly the upcoming first overall draft selection in this year’s draft.

Still, as good as they may appear on paper, their bench is something that could become problematic. Rookie Ky Bowman is second on the team’s depth chart at the point guard position, and Rose is an immediate upgrade.

For a Golden State team whose depth is relatively young and inexperienced, Rose would be a perfect fit. He may not be a lights-out shooter like Curry or Thompson, but his scoring and play-making abilities off the bench could be significant for a team looking to make a run at a title next season.

The move is a win-win for both sides as Rose gets to go to a solidified contender, and the Warriors get an experienced veteran willing to sacrifice for the better of the team. With that, Golden State should undoubtedly make a move for Rose.
