Caris LeVert

Last season, Caris LeVert was on his way to compete for the Most Improved Player award, before dislocating his right foot and missing 42 games in the middle of the season. Levert had finished the 2018 season showing a lot of promise. He showcased his scoring and passing abilities and even earned his basketball reference nickname of Baby Durant.

This season, despite another injury which put him out another 25 games, has been playing the best basketball of his young career. His 3-point shooting is the best it has ever been, and he has a new career-high in points per game at 17.7.

Levert is only climbing the improvement charts and has shown signs of being a fantastic scorer, and one that they often turn to during end of game scenarios. He even put up 51 points in Boston this year, including 26 fourth quarter points.

The main area where Levert would struggle as a number-three option is that he has proven to not be a very effective catch-and-shoot 3-point shooter. In his four-year career, he only shoots 32.3 percent on catch-and-shoot threes.

Like Dinwiddie, Levert is a guy who succeeds a lot more when controlling the ball and creating offense for himself. An extremely skilled player, with fantastic upside, as long as he can stay healthy.

Levert has always been one of my favorite players, and watching him is extremely fun. His handle is solid, his ability to shoot off-the-dribble is great, and he has lots of years to improve.
