We’re at the halfway point of completion for ESPN’s The Last Dance. So what more will we find out about Michael Jordan’s Bulls this week?

Let us dance again, shall we? The weekend is officially upon us, which means by Sunday’s end, we’ll have eclipsed the midway point as we continue our roller-coaster journey through the uncharted, surprise-filled minefield that is ESPN’s The Last Dance.

The series lays forth the collective timeline of some of basketball’s most dominant teams – all different forms of the Chicago Bulls during the Michael Jordan era. It culminates with the 1997-98 incarnation of the unit, highlighting their road to hopeful triumph as the imminent departures of Phil Jackson and Jordan himself precariously hung over their pursuits like a murky fog.

Oh, how woeful the concept of “last” is when it comes to a series that’s produced an attachment of this sort. Basketball consumers have now accustomed themselves to desperate longings for the emergence of the weekend like clockwork since the program’s initial April airing.

As the quarantine days of the COVID-19 outbreak have begun to inadvertently fuse themselves together with little differentiation, it has been #LastDance day that has provided fans their basic human necessities of unpredictable excitement.

To avoid prematurely jumping the gun with regards to the documentary’s cessation, let us re-center our focus on the present moment, and on the episodes that directly await us ahead.

The first four installments of the special event provided us with ions of newly acquired facts, unheard of stories and personal divulgences that brought several larger-than-life figures into our homes on near personable levels. And yet four hours in, a sense of painstaking dissatisfaction continues to resonate as anticipation for what’s next continues to swell. What will that be?

Well, the undisputed answer to that question will come into fruition Sunday, but in the meantime, here are my predictions for what we’ll see in episodes five and six.
