March 7

Another important rematch for Wood, the Utah Jazz were coming to Detroit after beating the Pistons by 23 in December at home. In the previous meeting, Wood played in 28 minutes and only managed a meager 10 points and nine rebounds.

The night of March 7 was different now that he was gaining confidence and momentum. Again Christian Wood led all players in minutes (38 tonight) and put up a stellar line of 30 points, 11 rebounds and two assists. The lack of defensive stats and 3-point makes hurt him in this game. This is also the least efficient game on the list, managing to only shoot 54.2 percent from the field while attempting the most shots in the game.

In his favor is the fact that he is one of only three Pistons to have a positive plus/minus in the game and the only one to score more than 15 points and to grab more than five rebounds.

He acquitted himself well in the rematch against one of the West’s top team and the Pistons only fell by six at home. Clearing 30 points for the first time in his career (more on that milestone later) against an elite defensive squad is nothing to frown upon and watching Wood round into form as a leader of this team places this game high on the list.
