Redrafting the 2015 NBA Draft: Role players everywhere

#19 Pick: Quinn Cook (Originally: Jerian Grant)
Oh the Knicks. This pick originally belonged to the Hawks who traded it to the Knicks for Tim Hardaway, Jr. This is the Knicks second pick of the night as they were lucky enough to hold onto Kristaps Porzingis in this redraft but they will be making a different pick this time.
While I am more partial to other guards in this draft Quinn Cook feels like a Knick to me. He was the tough veteran leader on an otherwise very young National Champion Duke team and has been a situational sharpshooter since making it in the pros. All of this has come in a limited role, never averaging more than 22.4 minutes per game but he has played three seasons for contending teams and shown the ability to contribute in those situations.
His first season in Golden State is the high mark for him, averaging 9.5 points, 2.5 rebound and 2.7 assists on 44.2 percent from distance in only the aforementioned 22.4 minutes per game. Even as a rookie Cook would have brought a winning mentality to the Knicks and offered a nice NBA-ready prospect to pair with the raw talents of Porzingis.
