With the 2019- 2020 NBA season on hold, the Philadelphia 76ers have time to figure out the types of trades they could make to help bolster the team.

Now, the Philadelphia 76ers are in an interesting position. The team has a starting five consisting that should be able to go toe-to-toe with most teams in the NBA. With a starting lineup filled with All-Stars and former All-Stars, one would assume the Sixers should be set to take on all comers.

But, there’s one problem. Going into next season, the Philadelphia 76ers have $147,066,848 locked up in 11 players. On top of that, the Sixers have $130,609,251 locked up in their starting five. As such, it will be difficult for the team to improve in free agency without trading away some of that cap. Outside of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, most of those contracts are not necessarily going to be easy to move.

However, one of the things the team really lacks is depth. In particular, the Sixers lack a secondary ball-handler, a true stretch four, and another decent 3-point shooter off the bench. As such, the team has a ton of needs to address.

As such, the team would likely need to target players to help the bench out. While players like Matisse Thybulle, Furkan Korkmaz, and Shake Milton will likely be sticking around, the rest of the bench could be expendable. In turn, the Philadelphia 76ers could target the following players in order to provide a slight boost to the bench.
