In episodes three and four of The Last Dance, we’re given some insight on Dennis Rodman and Phil Jackson and one of history’s greatest rivalries.

Episodes three and four of The Last Dance have made their way across the greater United States and gave viewers a little bit of everything in telling the full story of the Chicago Bulls dynasty.

While few needed a refresher on the unique character that is Dennis Rodman, The Last Dance showcased a more introspective side of The Worm fans rarely get to see — with some eye-opening stories to do his legend justice.

We’re given some time with Doug Collins, who coached the Bulls from 1986-89 and established a strong relationship with Michael Jordan before being replaced by Phil Jackson in 1989.

Episode No. 4 delves into Jackson’s journey from rural Montana to Chicago’s sidelines. The main focus, however, lies in the heated rivalry between the Bulls and the Bad Boy Detroit Pistons and its contributions to the journey that resulted in the franchise’s first-ever title in 1991.

Interviews shown across the two episodes focused mostly on the players from the first three-peat from 1991-93, including B.J. Armstrong, Horace Grant and Bill Cartwright. The most notable appearance came from Rodman’s ex-wife Carmen Electra, who provided her perspective on Rodman’s infamous 48-hour hiatus to Las Vegas.

Jordan might have been the headliner on those Bulls teams, but even he admits he couldn’t have won six championships by himself. MJ will naturally be the focus of this documentary, but these two episodes made sure to tell some of the stories of the people and factors that helped him out along the way to greatness.
