If this is the end of the 2019-2020 regular season, let’s look at three questions for the Golden State Warriors as they enter a critical offseason.

The 2019-2020 regular season served as a down-to-earth moment for the Golden State Warriors franchise, their players, and fanbase. After winning three championships in four years, the team entered the hiatus with the league’s worst record at 15-50.

Prior to the year, many of their struggles were already clear upon the horizon. Kevin Durant left for the Brooklyn Nets in free agency and Klay Thompson had suffered a torn ACL in the 2019 NBA Finals, that would indeed go on to prohibit him from making an on-court appearance this year.

Then to make matters worse, Stephen Curry missed 60 games with a broken left hand. The Warriors third and remaining All-Star, Draymond Green, missed a dozen games of his own.

Sure, Golden State acquired young All-Star D’Angelo Russell in the sign-and-trade deal that sent Durant to Brooklyn, but he wasn’t enough to kip the ship afloat in Curry and Thompson’s absence.

The Russell experiment didn’t last long, however, as they shipped him off to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Andrew Wiggins at the February trade deadline. Now, for the first time in years, the Warriors have some questions to answer ahead of next year.

Let’s take a look at three questions Golden State will have to answer if the season is truly over.
